We began serving Ottawa and surrounding areas in 2016, and continue to provide registered massage therapy in accordance with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
We provide insurance receipts for all paying clients, but we unfortunately do not offer direct billing.
Covid-19 Precautions
The following regulations have been set in place to ensure the safest environment possible:
- The client must wear a mask that covers the mouth and nose for the duration of the treatment
- Clients must complete the screening questions prior to the appointment
- Clients must provide their own linens and pillows for the treatment. This includes two flat sheets, and one or two pillows. A thicker comforter or blanket is optional
- Clients with symptoms including fever, cough, loss of taste or smell, fatigue or other abnormal symptoms must cancel their appointment. No penalty will be enforced.
Rates
Payment is required in full at the time of the appointment. We accept credit, cash and electronic transfer. Insurance receipts are provided after payment is received. We do not provide direct billing.

Our Team
Maria Obas, RMT is the owner and founder of Peak Massage Therapy. She graduated from Algonquin College in 2015 with honours and received the School of Health and Community Studies award. With a special interest in chronic conditions, she wanted to be able to fulfil a need for clients that would benefit from massage therapy but did not have the ability to get to and from a clinic. After much deliberation, the ideas came together while Maria was on a remote beach in Nicaragua. Upon her return to Canada, a few strings were pulled and Peak Massage Therapy became a small business.
Aside from being a massage therapist, Maria enjoys a multitude of sports such as rock/ice climbing, snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing and scuba diving. She is an avid world traveler and loves to find remote beaches and tropical adventures. At home, she spends time with her two cats and is learning to play polo with her horse.
