Maria Obas, RMT is the owner and founder of Ottawa Mobile RMT (Formerly known as Peak Massage Therapy). She graduated from Algonquin College in 2015 with honours and received the School of Health and Community Studies award.

With a special interest in chronic conditions and community health, she started a mobile massage therapy service that would fulfill a need for clients within the community living with conditions such as ALS, cancer, heart failure and dementia.

Maria is also a Registered Nurse, and her extensive knowledge and interest enables her to work safely with clients with a multitude of health conditions. During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, Maria took a hiatus from massage therapy in order to focus on working on the front lines in the hospital’s Covid-19 unit. She has since relaunched Ottawa Mobile RMT, and also works as a nurse in the Emergency Department.

Aside from being a massage therapist and nurse, Maria is passionate about traveling, and enjoys a multitude of outdoor sports ranging from alpine, board and equestrian sports.
